The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Miami Dolphins on "Sunday Night Football" this week, and there are endless betting opportunities to target in what should be a high-scoring, back-and-forth game. So, let's hone in on a few of them and cash some winning prop bets.
The Eagles have been moving away from the run and throwing the ball more and more every week. Hurts attempted 38 passes and threw for 303 yards against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5, and he attempted 40 against the New York Jets last week despite the Eagles holding a lead for most of the game.
This should be another pass-happy gameplan against a Dolphins defense that has already given up 300-yard passing days to Josh Allen and Russell Wilson. In what should be a high-scoring game with a total of 51.5, Hurts will need to air it out to keep up with Miami's dynamic offense. He'll be able to hit explosive plays down the field to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith all night, so this feels like great value at +290.
If this game plays out how we expect, both teams will be airing it out to their supreme athletes all night. The Dolphins surely will embrace that strategy considering how stout the Eagles have been against the run and how leaky their secondary has been all year.
Through six weeks, Philadelphia ranks second in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (65.8). This defense has allowed only one running back, Kyren Williams, to surpass this number, and he cleared it by just two yards. Jalen Carter will also be returning to the field after missing last week's game against the Jets, and he's shown he can single-handedly stuff an opponent's run game at the line of scrimmage.
Add in the fact that Jeff Wilson Jr. will be back in the lineup to steal carries from Mostert, and this is an under all the way.
