NFL 'TNF' player prop: Kincaid comes on, gets happy

Over the three seasons that Tom Brady was the face of the franchise, the Buccaneers played more than a quarter of their games in prime time. His retirement has understandably made the team less of a draw, and this trip to Buffalo likely represents successor Baker Mayfield’s last chance of the year to earn a win under the lights. Doing so would require outdueling Josh Allen, a fellow top-seven selection from the 2018 draft, but we’re backing one of the Bills’ emerging weapons for our top prop:

The bet: Over 37½ receiving yards for Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (DraftKings)

Not since Reuben, the often-agitated manager of the Partridge Family, has a Kincaid had such high expectations. The Bills took the pass-catching tight end from Utah with their first-round pick, and his integration into the offense seems to be complete.

Against the Patriots last week, Kincaid led the team with eight catches for 75 yards. Both totals were new career highs, and his eight targets trailed only the 12 throws directed to Pro Bowl wideout Stefon Diggs. With Dawson Knox, Buffalo’s veteran tight end, now slated for wrist surgery, Kincaid’s role figures to keep expanding.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers field the sixth-worst pass defense, allowing 247 yards per game. They’ve surrendered more than 40 receiving yards to opposing tight ends in each of their contests since the Week 5 bye.

Playing his most snaps at the position so far, Kincaid should deliver a performance that would please even his namesake.
