O.J. Howard: Buccaneers offense 'one of the best in the league'

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among the most intriguing teams heading into the 2020 season, as the addition of Tom Brady could help boost their offense into elite status. And according to tight end O.J. Howard, when the loaded offense takes the field this year, they will be "one of the best in the league."

"You look at us and line us up versus any offense in the league, we're right up there with the top of them," the tight end said on "Good Morning Football." "So only time will tell how good we are. But I think when you put us on paper, we're one of the best in the league, if not the best."

Howard's enthusiasm is understandable, as the Bucs have an abundance of talent on offense that already made the team dangerous before Brady's arrival. Last season, the team managed to lead the league in passing yards with Chris Godwin and Mike Evans forming perhaps the most lethal receiving duo in the NFL. Additionally, they have an incredible tight end trio that includes Howard, Cameron Brate and Rob Gronkowski, who unretired to join his old quarterback in Tampa Bay.

So how good could the Buccaneers' offense really be? Well, on paper, the sky is the limit, as they replaced Jameis Winston with the greatest quarterback of all time, who has not had this many weapons on offense in at least a decade. On the other hand, Brady is turning 43 in August and many believe we saw the beginning of his decline last season.
