Pro Bowl safety Quandre Diggs wants some of the big Amazon money
After spending the past three seasons with the Seahawks, Quandre Diggs is set to become a free agent. Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The reported money on offer for top NFL broadcasting positions is turning a lot of heads. That even applies to current players.

Quandre Diggs, a Pro Bowl safety set to become a free agent, is one of them. Diggs took note of the reported sum Amazon was prepared to offer Sean McVay, and made clear he’d be happy to get in on it.

Amazon picked up the rights to “Thursday Night Football” and is waving around big money to try to land a high-profile broadcast team. So far, other competitors have been beating the company to talent.

Diggs is probably joking here — he’s only 29, after all. Nevertheless, if someone was willing to drop $20 million a year to have him call games, why wouldn’t he listen?
