Ravens guard Bradley Bozeman takes down 72-ounce steak dinner challenge

At 6-foot-4 and 317 pounds, Baltimore Ravens left guard Bradley Bozeman is without question a very massive man with a presumably large appetite.

That didn’t make conquering a 72-ounce steak dinner challenge any easier, though.

The monumental gastronomic challenge occurred this week in Texas, when Bozeman and wife Nikki came across The Big Texan in Amarillo on a cross-country trip. For any brave soul who chooses to accept it, the challenge involves finishing an entire meal that consists of a 4.5-pound steak, shrimp cocktail, baked potato salad and dinner roll in under an hour.

Bozeman somehow managed to accomplish the gut-destroying eating challenge, doing so in 50 minutes.

“I knew it was going to be tough, but I didn’t think it was going to be that tough,” Bozeman said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “The last bite was rough. It was really rough.”

Overcoming such a considerable challenge meant that Bozeman not only got the $72 meal comped, he also was presented with a nifty T-shirt that bears the message, “I Ate It All!”

While Bozeman did make it to the end no worse for wear — relatively speaking — he admits there were some harrowing moments during the gargantuan feast.

Bozeman admits he nearly vomited at one point but somehow soldiered on despite how his stomach understandably began having an issue with the endeavor.

“He turned into a ghost,” said Nikki, who was ordered to turn off the camera at the near-upchuck moment. Added Bozeman: “That was the toughest food thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

According to The Big Texan, of the 110,000 people who have attempted the challenge, only 9,828 — including Bozeman — have been successful.

“It was fun,” Bozeman said. “But I would never do it again.”
