Ravens place Pro Bowl LT Ronnie Stanley on season-ending IR

The Baltimore Ravens are an AFC-best 5-1, but just lost a crucial member of their offensive line to season-ending surgery.

Per ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley, left tackle Ronnie Stanley was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.

The sixth-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the former Notre Dame product has spent his entire career with Baltimore and signed a five-year, $98.75 million extension with the club last summer. Following the 2019 season, Stanley earned a Pro Bowl nod and was named a first team All-Pro as well.

Stanley hasn't played since the Ravens' Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. In his absence, other linemen such as Ben Powers, Kevin Zeitler, Bradley Bozeman and Alejandro Villanueva have been paving the way for a rotating group of Baltimore running backs.

The rushing attack, led by quarterback Lamar Jackson but also including Latavius Murray, Devonta Freeman, Le'Veon Bell and Ty'Son Williams, has the Ravens currently ranked inside the NFL's top-five in rushing attempts, rushing yards, rushing yards per game and rushing touchdowns.

The Ravens take on the Bengals in Week 7.
