Report: Colin Kaepernick Brutally Called Out by Former Pro Bowler- Week 4
Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Earlier this week, former quarterback Colin Kaepernick revealed that he wrote a letter to the New York Jets regarding joining their practice squad. This came after many years of Kaepernick calling out the NFL for treating their players like “Slaves.” Former Pro Bowl Cornerback Adam Pac-Man Jones went on air to share his thoughts on the controversial quarterback trying to make an NFL comeback.

Jones Comments

Jones does not think that Kaepernick can come back and play in the NFL saying, “Do I think he can play right now? No. He hasn’t played a live rep in how many years? It sound good, that’s a good marketing tool for yourself… bro no. It’s over with. It just don’t work like that.”

The former Corner also showed his credibility when he told everyone that he was one of the only players to see Kaepernick do live drills many years ago when the show, “Am Athlete,” was going. Pac-Man was very clear that he does not think Kaepernick can play right now saying, “Definitely a f***ing no.”

Colin Kaepernick Career

Kaepernick played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2016, amounting to 12,271 passing yards and 72 touchdowns. He brought the 49ers to the Super Bowl in the 2012-2013 season but lost to the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 34-31. In the final two years of his career, Kaepernick’s stats rapidly declined along with the number of games he played in. In his final year in 2016, he played in 12 games and went for 2,241 passing yards and 16 touchdowns.

There is no doubt that Colin Kaepernick had a very up-and-down career in the NFL, which is most likely the reason nobody believes that he will be able to make a comeback to the league. After all, he did not exactly leave on the best terms. Most analysts and former players are saying if he was seriously trying to play in the NFL again, he should play in either the CFL or the USFL beforehand to get familiar with the speed of the game again.

No One Believes in Kaepernick

After it was revealed that the former quarterback was trying to make a comeback to the league, the NFL world had mixed feelings about whether he could return. Most people are saying that his career is over and that he shouldn’t even bother trying to convince teams to give him another shot. These people include NFL players, coaches, and executives.

On the other side of the spectrum, other people, mainly NFL fans, think that Kaepernick should have another chance to prove himself. From the sounds of it, New York Jets fans seem to be the main culprits from this side of the argument since Colin’s letter was to the Jets. You cannot blame Jets fans since they have Zach Wilson currently at quarterback. They are looking to get anyone other than Wilson under center, so this doesn’t seem like the worst option in the world.
