Rodney Harrison compares Steelers' George Pickens to Hall of Fame WR

Former safety Rodney Harrison faced some of the best receivers in NFL history during his career. And he sees similarities between Steelers rookie WR George Pickens and one of his former HOF teammates.

"I think this guy is the steal of the draft. He reminds me of my former teammate in Randy Moss. He’s a special player," Harrison said.

It's high praise for Pickens who has had a bit of a disappointing rookie year after receiving a lot of preseason hype.

Pickens has 729 receiving yards and four touchdowns compared to Moss's 1,313 yards and 17 touchdowns as a rookie.

However, the discrepancy could be due to Pittsburgh's play calling as offensive coordinator Matt Canada seems to be on his way out. Pickens has averaged just 2.9 catches and 43.5 yards per game since Week 5.

The Steelers rookie was drafted 52nd overall in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. A total of 10 receivers were taken before him.

Pickens has had multiple acrobatic, Moss-like catches this season. Maybe it's a sneak peek of what's to come.

If Pickens is anything close to Moss, the Steelers certainly got a steal and will be very fun to watch for the next decade-plus.
