The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the playoffs after a highly unlikely scenario came to fruition on a chaotic Sunday. The clincher for the Steelers was a 47-yard field goal from Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson that guaranteed both Pittsburgh and Las Vegas would see the postseason.
To celebrate the kick, Steelers fans decided to make donations Monday to any charities they could find that have ever been associated with Carlson.

Pittsburgh needed to beat the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18 to keep hopes alive and it barely managed to do so with a 36-yard field goal from Chris Boswell. Much more improbable was the Jacksonville Jaguars' 26-11 win against the Indianapolis Colts that kept the Steelers' hopes alive into the Sunday night matchup of the Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers.
All the Steelers needed was the Raiders and Chargers to avoid finishing in a tie. Carlson's kick as time expired in overtime broke the tie and earned the Steelers a wild-card berth.
