Steelers Make Aggressive Push for Bills Center
USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost former Buffalo Bills center Mitch Morse to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they tried to ink a deal, making an "aggressive" push, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

The Steelers hosted Morse for a free agent visit over the weekend but did not have a deal in place once he left. He then traveled to Jacksonville, where the two sides agreed on terms of a contract, sending the Buffalo lineman to the AFC South.

The Steelers will pursue a center this offseason after releasing veteran Mason Cole. They'll look in the NFL Draft, but will also likely try to sign a veteran as an immediate starter, providing a bridge between this season and the readiness of their incoming rookie.

So far, they've met with Morse, but are expected to pursue former Los Angeles Rams' Brian Allen as well, sources tell All Steelers. They're also set to host West Virginia's Zach Frazier for a pre-draft visit.
