Titans star AJ Brown had funny reaction to Aaron Rodgers contract
Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

AJ Brown had a funny reaction to learning about Aaron Rodgers’ new contract.

News broke on Tuesday that Rodgers informed the Green Bay Packers he would be returning to them next season. Then we heard he was going to be signing a four-year, $200 million deal.

Brown, who just completed his third season with the Tennessee Titans, was impressed by the reported contract figures. The wide receiver joked that he picked the wrong position to play.

That’s true.

If you want to get paid in the biggest way as an NFL player, go play quarterback. Being a top wide receiver isn’t a bad way to get paid either though.

Though he’s not making $200 million, compared to the average person, Brown is doing much more than fine. He’s entering the final year of a four-year, $5.65 million rookie contract with Tennessee. He’s already posted two 1,000-yard seasons and made one Pro Bowl, so Brown is set to cash in much bigger on his free agent deal. He just won’t be getting that $200 million. Interestingly, Rodgers did somewhat dispute his own contract figures.

Regardless of the details, we do know Rodgers will be paid big bucks by the Packers.
