Titans’ Will Levis Receives Major Warning From Former NFL Star
Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis is generating considerable buzz following his massive comeback win over the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football in Week 14, and former NFL star Dez Bryant is among those taking notice.

The three-time Pro Bowler expressed his full support for the rookie QB on Twitter, addressing Titans’ wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. In his tweet, Bryant admitted his initial skepticism about Hopkins joining the Titans but credited the transformative impact of Will Levis at quarterback, emphasizing a newfound balance and dominance in the team’s offensive approach.

“You know how much I hated you going to the Titans because I didn’t believe in their system for a premiere WR like yourself,” Bryant wrote. “I must admit soon as they put Will Levis in the game I knew s--- was going to change. Levis at QB gives you guys a true dominant balanced attack on offense. You guys looked like real contenders last night!”

Levis had a historic night, becoming the first rookie to surpass 300 yards in a Monday Night Football game. The rookie QB completed 23 of 38 passes for 327 yards and a touchdown, securing his place as the franchise’s first rookie starting quarterback to win in primetime.

In addition to praising Levis’ performance, Bryant offered some personal advice to the rookie, cautioning him against rekindling a relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Gia Duddy. Bryant reminded Levis of Duddy’s swift ascent to viral fame and endorsement deals, urging him to prioritize his role as a potential franchise quarterback.

“I’m sitting here looking at the recap of Dolphins vs. Titans. Then I randomly thought about Will Levis Draft Day! If you are thinking don’t take your ex-girlfriend back bro. She got endorsements sitting next to you on draft night I remember. She wasted no time making herself the priority after going viral, Bryant added. “You got a chance to be a franchise QB make it a priority! Great win champ!”

Levis, initially projected to be a Day 1 pick, fell to the second round in the 2023 NFL Draft. Duddy, who garnered attention sitting next to Levis on draft night, secured a Burger King endorsement deal and later faced rumors of a September split with the quarterback.

It remains to be seen whether Will Levis will heed Bryant’s unsolicited advice, but with or without Duddy, the rookie quarterback has a genuine opportunity to solidify his place as the Titans’ future franchise quarterback.
