Vikings hire former Colts GM Ryan Grigson for 'senior role' in personnel department

The Minnesota Vikings hired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as general manager last month and are now working on filling out his staff. One of the newest members of the team's front office is a face Adofo-Mensah is plenty familiar with.

Prior to his gigs with the Browns and Seahawks, Grigson served as the Colts GM from 2012 to 2016. During his tenure in Indianapolis, the team posted a 49-31 record in the regular season and a 3-3 mark in the playoffs.

The Colts earned postseason berths in 2012, 2013 and 2014, advancing one round further each time. They fell in the wild-card round in 2012, the divisional round in 2013 and the AFC Championship Game in 2014.

Adofo-Mensah spent the last two seasons with the Browns and was with the San Francisco 49ers prior to that. The 40-year-old served as the Niners' manager of football research and development from 2013 to 2016 and then was the team's director of football research and development from 2017 to 2019.
