Watch: Aerial shot of Calais Campbell’s 100th career sack
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons ‘ sky-cam view is all the rage, and we’ve got the next sensational highlight. This one is a milestone, capturing Calais Campbell’s 100th career sack.

The 16-year veteran celebrated the 100th sack in a way only the kind of man Calais Campbell is — donating to a good cause.

A significant factor in Campbell choosing the Falcons over several other clubs, including a few Super Bowl contenders, was the ability to contribute to philanthropic endeavors, which is something Arthur Blank made clear he would enable in Atlanta.

Campbell’s 100th sack was followed by an announcement on Monday that he’d give 25 teachers in Phoenix, Jacksonville, Baltimore and Atlanta — each of the four NFL cities where he’s played — $500 for classroom resources. He also donated $20,000 to educators in Denver and Miami, where he attended high school and college, respectively.

“I’ve always been someone that success is best shared with the people you love,” Campbell said via a press release. “Football is an amazing job because it brings communities together. That’s why I want to share this milestone with the special communities that cheered for me and supported me throughout my career. I want to share this moment with them because teachers are the most important part of any community.”

Calais Campbell also became the 63rd player in league history to reach 100 career sacks.
