Watch: Bucs WR Mike Evans scores 74-yard TD, extends own NFL mark in win over Panthers

Veteran wideout Mike Evans had a big game on Sunday, helping the Tampa Buccaneers (5-7) escape with a 21-18 win over the Carolina Panthers (1-11) while extending his own impressive NFL mark.

Evans finished the day with seven catches for 162 yards (23.1 YPC), including a 75-yard go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter that put the Buccaneers ahead for good.

Meanwhile, Evans also eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the 10th consecutive season, increasing the record set after beginning his career with seven straight. He joins Hall of Famers Randy Moss and Jerry Rice as only the third player in NFL history to have double-digit 1,000-yard seasons. He's tied with Moss for the second-most, trailing only Rice, who had 14, per Stathead

Evans, forever humble, said reaching the milestone meant "a lot" before sharing the credit for his success with those around him.

"I put my blood, sweat and tears into this," Evans told Tiffany Blackmon of CBS Sports. "I just try to lead by example. I've had a lot of great teammates along the way. I hope I can keep doing it."
