Watch: Eagles defense turns Micah Parsons into a meme with ‘brotherly shove’

When the Philadelphia Eagles line up with three players in the backfield behind quarterback Jalen Hurts, everyone knows what’s coming.

That is why when the Eagles lined up in their “brotherly shove” formation on a 1st-and-10 from their own 1-yard line early in the fourth quarter to try and get some breathing room off the goal line, Dallas Cowboys edge-rusher Micah Parsons knew exactly where to line up.

The problem, however, was when Parsons dove over center to try and stop Hurts before he picked up any yardage, the Eagles massive offensive line sent the All-Pro pass-rusher backward in a funny viral moment.

Though he was credited with the tackle, the Eagles gained two yards on the play and got out from the shadow of their own goal line while video of Parsons crowd surfing backward was shared and retweeted many times.

Though the play resulted in a positive gain, Hurts threw an incomplete pass on the next play and hit DeVonta Smith for a three-yard completion after that before the Eagles were forced to punt.

The Cowboys drove 52 yards down the field in five plays on their next possession, scoring on a seven-yard touchdown pass from Dak Prescott to Jalen Tolbert that pulled Dallas to within 28-23.
