Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud went 191 consecutive passes without throwing an interception.
Then, on his 192nd throw of the season, New Orleans Saints linebacker Zack Baun stepped in front of a pass intended for tight end Dalton Schultz and intercepted Stroud for the first time in his career.

Stroud couldn’t have asked for a better outcome following his first pick as Baun ultimately fumbled the ball during the runback, which was recovered by Houston and led to a six-play, 59-yard touchdown drive that was capped off by a touchdown pass from Stroud to Schultz.
Baun’s interception ended Stroud’s record for most pass attempts to start a career without an interception — a milestone he set in last week’s 21-19 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in which he topped Dak Prescott’s mark of 176 passes.
Stroud threw for 1,491 yards and seven touchdowns before tossing his first interception. He and San Francisco’s Brock Purdy entered the week as the only two starting QBs to not throw an interception this season.
