Watch: Tom Brady tries to recruit Aaron Judge as tight end ahead of win vs. Saints

The Aaron Judge sweepstakes continue this week and on Monday night, it was Tom Brady attempting to recruit the AL MVP to the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With Brady's longtime tight end Rob Gronkowski retiring for the second time earlier this year, the Bucs have had trouble getting much production from the position during the 2022 season. Ironically, rookie tight end Cade Otton played a huge role in Tampa Bay's comeback win over the New Orleans Saints on "Monday Night Football" in Week 13, tying a career-high with six catches on a career-high 10 targets for 28 yards and a touchdown. Otton's fourth quarter score brought the Bucs within six points.

Whether it's been Otton, fellow rookie Ko Kieft or veterans Cameron Brate and Kyle Rudolph though, none of the four tight ends have given Brady consistent numbers this year. In 11 games played, Otton has done the most of the group, but still only ranks fourth on the team in targets (45) and receiving yards (309), while placing fifth in receptions (32).

Interestingly, Judge and "Gronk" have very similar body types. According to their Baseball Reference and Pro Football Reference pages, the former is actually one inch taller than the four-time Super Bowl champion at 6-foot-7, while outweighing outweighing him 282 pounds to 265 pounds.

Though Judge chose to play professional baseball, he was recruited by numerous big-name schools to play tight end. Among the schools were Notre Dame, Stanford and UCLA.
