Why Erin Andrews 'Hearts' Cowboys Playoff
THOMAS CORDY/THE PALM BEACH POST / USA TODAY NETWORK

In some NFL playoff games this weekend, it'll be cold. And snowy.

The Dallas Cowboys are glad that won't be the case for them.

And FOX sideline reporter Erin Andrews, maybe for a number of reasons, seems to be glad about her weekend assignment.

Andrews, the network's top talent in her category, probably most likes the idea of being here on Sunday to cover a playoff matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers because it is a marquee game ... as Dallas events generally are.

And that is probably why, when FOX confirmed that it will be sending its ace broadcast team to Dallas for the Cowboys vs. Packers game - that's Kevin Burkhardt with Greg Olsen in the booth - Andrews made it clear that she's quite pleased about this latest assignment. ... with not just one "heart'' emoji, but two of them.

The Cowboys clinched the No. 2 seed in the NFC with last weekend's win at the Washington Commanders. That's a big deal for "America's Team" given the fact that Dallas has won 16 straight here at AT&T Stadium.

But it's also big for Erin.

She's covered many, many Cowboys games ... knows Dak Prescott and the players and Mike McCarthy and the coaching staff ... and surely has a fine comfort level with all.

Meanwhile, the post-Aaron Rodgers Packers are raising their profile as well, having secured a playoff berth last Sunday by defeating the Chicago Bears - with young QB Jordan Love moving up to marquee-name level.

The Cowboys are favored by seven in this Sunday's matchup, with kickoff set at 3:30 p.m. CT. Erin Andrews is excited to be in the house ... and so is CowboysSI.com!
