+900 revenge parlay: Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Philadelphia Flyers

If you're drawn to the revenge narrative when it comes to betting sports, then the Columbus Blue Jackets-Philadelphia Flyers game is for you.

DraftKings is where we'll be for this two-leg Same Game Parlay.

Cam Atkinson/Jakub Voracek to Score a Goal (+900)

Atkinson and Voracek were swapped this summer in a trade between Columbus and Philly, with Atkinson heading to the Flyers and Voracek joining the Blue Jackets.

This will be the first time these two face off against their former clubs, teams with which they spent over a decade of their careers.

Reports (and natural logic) indicate this will be an emotional game for both, and sometimes following emotion can be an intriguing betting angle.

What a story it would be if these two both scored in their first game against each other, and there are some numbers to back this up.

Atkinson

Atkinson has been rolling when playing at home, putting up 3+ shots on goal in 10 straight games. The volume is rising of late, with 37 shots on net in his last six games in Philadelphia.

That's elite volume worth following; his SOG prop is currently set at 2.5 with -180 odds, if you're interested.

Atkinson has a goal in eight of 18 home games this year and leads the team in goals this season with 15.

Columbus is also a soft opponent for betting on opposing skaters. They let up the third-most shots per game on the road (37.2) and surrender the fourth-most goals per game.

If you want to bet Atkinson to score on his own, he's +205 on FanDuel.

Voracek

Voracek is certainly the stretch for this parlay to hit, with just one goal all year. The 32-year-old does have a few things going in his favor.

For starters, Philadelphia is just as susceptible to shots and goals as Columbus. The Flyers allow the second-most shots per game at home in their last 10 games (35.2) and allow the ninth-most goals per game.

Voracek is also on the top power play line for the Blue Jackets, and Philly sees the 13th-most penalties per game. A few chances on the PP could give Voracek the opportunity we need for this to hit.

Voracek shares a line with Alexandre Texier and Patrik Laine, both of whom have been flexing their facilitating chops of late. Texier has 6 assists in his last ten games, and Laine has four in seven road games.

Closing Thoughts: Let's Have Some Fun

Now, don't go betting an exorbitant amount on this emotional angle, but it could be a fun lotto ticket to throw some coffee money on.

Atkinson is probably a good bet to net a goal on his own, so you don't need to parlay these two, but it would be quite the night. Good luck!
