Blackhawks' Philipp Kurashev Exits Game Early After Hit from Capitals' Tom Wilson
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

The Swiss forward saw just 1:04 of ice time in the first period before a Tom Wilson hit knocked him out of the game.

The Chicago Blackhawks are down a first-line forward. Philipp Kurashev exited early from Thursday's game against the Washington Capitals with an upper-body injury.

Just over four minutes into the game, Kurashev was bumped by Capitals' forward Tom Wilson as he skated through the middle of the ice.

That ended up being the 23-year-old center's final shift of the game. The Blackhawks officially ruled Kurashev out as the team took the ice to begin the second period.

UPDATE: 3/23/23, 9:10 PM CT - Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson said Philipp Kurashev was "pretty sore" after the game. He will be reevaluated Friday.
