Coyotes center Jack McBain OUT week-to-week
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Arizona Coyotes center Jack McBain (lower-body) will be out “week-to-week,” according to the hockey club.

In the 2-1 Coyotes loss to the St. Louis Blues on Nov. 9, McBain crashed into the boards during the second period with his left leg taking most of the impact.

McBain couldn’t get up after the collision and had to be helped off the ice by team trainers before heading straight to the locker room.

It was presumed that McBain’s injury was only a minor one and was originally listed as out “day-to-day.”

However, the timetable has been elevated due to the severity of the issue.

Just a few days ago, Coyotes defenseman Travis Dermott suffered an upper-body injury as well, so two crucial players in the ‘Yotes normal lineup will not suit up for an extended period of time.

So far, McBain has been off to a blistering start of the season as he has scored 4 goals and recorded 3 assists in 13 games.

Now, center Travis Boyd will enter into the fold for Arizona while Jack McBain recovers.
