Maple Leafs Prospect Easton Cowan Reaches 30-Game Point Streak with OHL's London Knights
John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan continues to put up points in consecutive games with the OHL's London Knights.

The 18-year-old forward, who was drafted by Toronto in the first round (28th overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft, is currently on a historic run with 30 straight games with a point.

Cowan has 23 goals and 34 assists for 57 points during his 30-game point streak with the Knights, which is the longest in the CHL this season. His 85 points in 48 games this season places Cowan second in team scoring, and ninth in the OHL this season.

The Maple Leafs signed the young forward to an entry-level contract in August after spending time at the team's development camp in July. The annual average value of the contract is $935,833.

He impressed at the Traverse City Prospects Tournament and in Maple Leafs training camp so much that the organization kept him around until the day before their season opener on Oct. 10.

"Probably the biggest thing for me with Easton is we knew he was a hound on the puck, we knew he had a great motor. The skill level is better than what I had thought," Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving said the day Cowan was sent back to OHL London.

"We got a real good player on the come [up]."
