NHL playoff bets: 3 plays for Vegas-Edmonton Game 3

We have just one NHL game tonight as we head into a new week on the ice, but it should more than deliver from both an entertainment and a betting perspective. We've gotten some fireworks early between the Golden Knights and Oilers, and now with the series heading to Edmonton, things might open up even more.

We've got three bets built around that belief.

SGP: Over 1.5 first-period goals, Over 6.5 goals total (+120 FD)

I bet this Game 1 and it hit, and I bet it Game 2 and it fell short by one goal. I'm more than fine going right back to the combination tonight. These two teams have met six times, and this has hit in five of them.

The first-period goals have been a breeze, especially this series, with nine total goals scored in the opening frame through two games.

Two of three home playoff games for Edmonton have cashed this combo, and both road games for Vegas checked off these boxes. I'm going right back to the read.

Jonathan Marchessault point (+104 CZR)

I've been betting Jonathan Marchessault to score a goal for two straight games and he has yet to come through, but the man continues to be incredibly involved in the offense. Marchessault has 11 SOG through two games and is among the team leaders in expected goals and high-danger chances.

He's had a pesky role near the front of the net, and at some point I know the Golden Knights' top-line forward is going to get involved. Linemates Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev have gotten on the scoresheet, but Marchessault remains absent.

With his point meandering into plus-money territory, I'm pouncing. He has five points in his last five against the Oilers, and knowing how the universe works, once I abandon Marchessault's goal he will score, so I'm riding that wave and pivoting to just a point instead.

Connor McDavid & Jack Eichel over 3.5 SOG (+235 FD)

This is found on the Player Performance Parlays on FanDuel under their "Popular" tab. These two parlayed on FD to each get 4+ in regulation is +186, so the value most definitely lies here in this offered combo.

I've been betting a .5u on this exact combo for two games now, and thus far it's split. Today, I like it for a full unit, and if you'd prefer standalone bets only, Jack Eichel at plus money to go over 3.5 SOG looks just superb.

Connor McDavid has finished with shot totals of four and three in the two games thus far, but 15 attempts have accompanied those numbers, encouraging me to go back to him once again. The true kicker has been McDavid's postseason performance on home ice the past two seasons. He's gone over 3.5 SOG in six straight and eight of his last nine in Edmonton, something I'd like to follow. With the series tied 1-1 and fresh off two goals in a winning effort, I expect another spirited effort from the Oilers star.

As for Jack Eichel, the Vegas center has five SOG in both meetings this series, now going over 3.5 SOG in five of his last seven against Edmonton. He piled up 11 SOG in the two road games last round, so I expect the volume to remain despite the location swap. Eichel has 4+ shots in three straight trips to Edmonton.

By all means, consider laddering up this combo as well. FanDuel offers us a +680 price for each player to go for five or more shots.
