Christian Norgaard named Brentford captain for next season

Christian Norgaard has been named Brentford captain for next season.

The Dane will succeed Pontus Jansson, who will leave this summer for Malmo FF.

According to Brentford journalist Jay Harris, manager Thomas Frank confirmed this at a press conference on Friday.

Frank pointed out that players like Ben Mee, Mathias Jensen, Vitaly Janelt and Bryan Mbeumo will also have to take on extra responsibility next season.

Nrgaard, 29, has played 128 games for Brentford since 2019.
