'Do not do that!' – Marcotti not impressed with the conduct of one Chelsea player

One Chelsea player has received some different kind of criticism from a well-respected journalist this week, and it’s not for his performances in a Chelsea shirt.

Many players have found themselves on the end of critique from fans, pundits, journalists, and rivals all season as they continue to struggle in the league. But there are also some issues with players being picked up on, and it is aimed at conduct and their disciplinary actions.

Striker Nicolas Jackson has found some decent form of late and he has also been finding the net too, which is great. But he often still finds himself getting silly bookings and being a bit controversial, and that has been picked up on by ESPN journalist Gabriele Marcotti.

Jackson has often been seen shushing the opposition fans with his finger on his lips, something he did when he scored an equaliser against Brentford last weekend.

Speaking on The Gab and Juls Show with fellow pundit Julien Laurens, he didn’t like what Jackson did and had some words of advice for the player.

He said: “Also, Nico Jackson, stop shushing the crowd. Those are the people who pay your salary; do not do that.”

Personally, I don’t have a problem with shushing the crowd if they’ve been on your back, loads do it and I actually quite like it if it’s appropriate (maybe not scoring an equaliser against Brentford).
