'It’s about now!' – Former Premier League manager thinks Chelsea have it wrong

Everyone is having their say on Chelsea right now and there is much being debated around the current project.

It’s clear, the owners have been building for the future of the club and signing a bunch of young and talented players. However, after the first five games of the season being played out and Chelsea only managing to register 5 points and now sitting in 14th place in the league table, many more questions are starting to be asked on what sort of project this is.

I have seen many pundits, fans, and former players etc mention the lack of experience that Chelsea have and that they need more balance in the squad, something that is hard to disagree with.

And former Premier League manager Alan Pardew has been saying pretty much the same this weekend after Chelsea drew 0-0 with Bournemouth yesterday. Pardew believes Chelsea are making a mistake not looking at the present and just thinking about the future.

In words picked up by Chels HQ, Pardew said: “Chelsea have bought all these players for the future. It’s about now! When you’re in the Premier League, it’s about now — especially when you’re the manager because you’re gonna come under pressure if you don’t get the results.”
