Keita facing 'consequences' after AWOL antics at Werder Bremen

Former Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is in trouble with his current team Werder Bremen.

The 29-year-old refused to travel to a game against Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend.

Keita discovered that he would not be in the team and decided not to go with his teammates.

Werder Bremen sporting director Clemens Fritz admitted that Keita did not board the team bus.

Fritz explained to reporters: "After Naby found out yesterday that he would not be playing from the start, he decided not to get on the bus but to go home.

We will talk to him and his agent tomorrow about the consequences and how to proceed."
