A wee Sunday Singsong with Luis Palma ahead of extra training at Lennoxtown as winger aims to make an impact in Celtic’s Scottish Cup and title run-in…

Luis Palma is putting in extra shifts at Lennoxtown in a bid to get himself up to match sharpness for the remaining fixtures of the season, starting with the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park on Saturday afternoon against Aberdeen.

Palma came off the bench on Saturday in the 3-0 win over St Mirren and looked sharp enough, but with Daizen Maeda now sidelined until the summer, it’s Palma’s chance to re-claim that wide-left spot in Celtic’s front three as Brendan Rodgers’ side chases down a Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup double over the next month or so.

Palma has missed five games after picking up a muscle strain and had to miss out on his last international camp too as a result of the injury. The 24 year-old has dad an eventful first season in Glasgow and has certainly contributed with his 11 goals and 13 assists. On the downside was that double penalty miss which has seen him removed from spot-kick duties permanently!

Speaking to Honduran media outlet radiohouse.hn, Luis Palma seemed to be enjoying his Sunday afternoon in the park, and confirmed that he’d been heading into Lennoxtown on his day-off to continue to work towards optimum fitness.

“I’m happy to have minutes again, I feel good, focused on recovering my level. I plan to go to the training centre on Monday to be at my best at the end of the tournament,” Palma told Radiohouse. You can watch the rest of the entertaining interview below, where Matt O’Riley gets a mention and Luis bursts into song. He should learn a few of the Celtic songs though.
