Real Madrid defender David Alaba admits he faces a massive personal challenge in his recovery from knee surgery.

Alaba has posted to social media after returning home following an ACL operation.

He stated: "It has taken me a while to process what happened last week

"In my career I have already faced some challenges, but this is probably one of the biggest so far.

"I will face it and I will reach the top of this mountain."
