Scott McTominay was forced off with a worrying knee injury against Burnley this evening.

Scotland will be sweating over the fitness of their midfielder ahead of Euro 2024, but it remains to be seen if he will play for United again this season, with so few games remaining.

McTominay came off the bench after 65 minutes for Kobbie Mainoo during the 1-1 draw. However, he lasted just 25 minutes on the pitch before being replaced by Mason Mount after appearing to sustain a nasty knee injury.

The 27-year-old side off the pitch and looked in real distress as he punched the turf. McTominay was unable to continue and he was visibly upset as he limped down the touchline.

Euro 2024 kicks off in 48 days and Steve Clarke will hope to have McTominay available. The last thing they need is another midfielder to get injured, with Lewis Ferguson set to miss out on the competition after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
