Marcus "Buff" Bagwell has turned his life around recently after battling demons and struggles with addiction that caused him setbacks.

Now, the former WCW star is sober and continues to make positive progress in his life.

While speaking on the "Going Broadway Podcast, " Bagwell noted that he has been clean for six months, and the main thing he tries to remember is his sobriety date, which is August 27.

Bagwell has credited the aftercare support he received after rehab and the network of family/friends that has helped him stay sober.

The former WCW star last worked a match in October at a WrestlePro Alaska show. Before he can wrestle again, he is slated to get a knee replacement after being in a bad car accident in 2020.

"I've got a knee replacement I'm getting scheduled to get done within the month," Bagwell said. "There's a light, a big bright light now at the end of the tunnel when there wasn't any. So I'm very excited about life. I'm sober and clean, which I really didn't think I could do this thing called life sober and clean. I really didn't."
