DDP Sends Congratulatory Message To Buff Bagwell On 11 Months of Sobriety

Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) has congratulated former WCW and WWE star Buff Bagwell after the latter remained clean for the last 11 months.

Bagwell was in trouble recently when reports suggested that he was arrested earlier this month. It was reported that he was pulled for speeding and driving under the influence of drugs.

Wrestling News reported that Bagwell was arrested earlier this month and was released on July 15:

The records indicate that he was pulled over for speeding, a misdemeanor. He was also charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, also a misdemeanor. He was released from jail on 7/15.

Last August, Bagwell spoke about getting sober with the help of Diamond Dallas Page and others in his life. Prior to that, Bagwell faced legal issues related to substance abuse for years. However, he has managed to stay clean and sober for almost a year now.

Taking to Twitter, DDP posted a video clip of doing a workout with 'coach' Buff Bagwell motivating him. His caption read:

"Coach BUFF knows his STUFF! Who better to have in your corner than one of the best physiques from the Monday Night Wars! Today marks 11 months of #Sobriety for @Marcbuffbagwell. Congrats bro! You put the work in and are closing in on 1 year Clean & Sober!"

After reports of his arrest emerged, Bagwell decided to clarify that the latest reports were not true. Taking to his Twitter account, he claimed that he wasn’t arrested and only had a “sanction” for not documenting a recent trip out of state. He wrote:

“Just wanted to clarify to everyone that I am 11 months sober (tomorrow). I see there is news out that I had to spend time in jail for a DUI but this was from the original offense years ago. I did get a recent sanction because I didn’t document a recent trip out of state properly.”
