Jerry Lawler says his career with WWE is most likely over.

PWInsider reported yesterday that WWE chose not to renew Lawler's broadcasting contract after it expired at the start of the year. He is believed to still be under a legends deal with the company, however.

In a newly published interview, Lawler said his career with WWE has most likely come to an end.

Lawler said:

One other thing that a lot of people wonder about, my career has probably ended with the WWE and that's it's just one of those things that goes with my getting over with all the stuff that happened with the stroke and it was my, my just sitting behind a desk and doing it commentating on a match again was the extremely difficult.

Lawler suffered a stroke in February 2023 but recently said his "health is great" and is only dealing with minor difficulties associated with it. The 74-year-old underwent knee replacement surgery in March as well.

Lawler was last on WWE programming in November when he helped announce qualifying matches for the NXT Iron Survivor Match. He also appeared in front of the live crowd in Memphis when Raw was there last August.
