Ricky Starks has given a positive update following an injury scare on AEW Collision.

The show saw Starks team with Big Bill against Top Flight in an AEW Tag Team tournament quarterfinal when Starks took a pele kick to the back of the head by Darius Martin. This led to him being rolled up and didn’t kick out. However, because that wasn’t the planned finish, the referee didn’t count the fall, and it continued with Darius winning with a DDT to Starks.

They’ve advanced to the next round of the tournament, where they’ll meet FTR, who defeated The Infantry to advance, while The Young Bucks will take on Best Friends (Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta) on AEW Dynamite to determine the first spot in the finals.

Starks took to his Instagram Story where he noted, “I’m all good, everything checked out fine,” he wrote. “Was being precautious.” Fightful Select reports Big Bill and Ricky Starks were originally slated to win the match and face FTR.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the situation.

Alvarez: “And this is not 100% confirmed, but we all basically heard the same story, which was that it appears to be a stinger. And did not appear to be a concussion.

Meltzer: “Starks said that he was okay on social media, from what I understand.”

Alvarez: “So hopefully, you know, a stinger, and he's alright. Sometimes, you get them, and then a few hours later, you're good. Certainly better than a concussion, certainly better than a serious neck injury.”
