Ricochet Wins WWE Speed Championship, Comments On Victory

The inaugural WWE Speed Champion has been crowned, as Ricochet won the tournament for the title.

In recent weeks, the WWE Speed Championship Tournament has been featured on WWE Speed. Ricochet and Johnny Gargano advanced to the finals by defeating JD McDonagh and Bronson Reed, respectively. Ricochet ultimately picked up the win with a Recoil and a back-handspring cutter. He then celebrated with the title.

A tournament to crown the next contender will begin on the May 8 episode of WWE Speed. Apollo Crews, Ivar, Tyler Bate, and Berto will compete.

Ricochet commented on his win by saying that it didn’t matter how much time he had, as the people needed to see more of him. He noted that it had been a while since he won some gold. The champion stated that he was one of the most polarizing athletes in WWE, so the company decided to give him his own show. He called himself the front-runner and said that the title showed that people need to see him.

Triple H Congratulates Ricochet

Taking to Twitter, Triple H congratulated Ricochet. The WWE Chief Credit Officer wrote that nobody defined the way speed that he did. Ricochet replied and thanked Triple H for believing him from the start.
