Roman Reigns To Break Several Decade Old Hulk Hogan Record At WrestleMania 40
WWE

By the time WrestleMania 40 concludes, Roman Reigns will have broken a WWE record set by Hulk Hogan several decades ago.

Ever since Roman Reigns turned heel, everything has changed in WWE. He brought Paul Heyman over as “The Wiseman” and created The Bloodline. Initially, he won the Universal Championship and then the WWE Championship. Basically, Reigns has been almost unbeatable for the past several years. He was pinned once by Jey Uso, but that was a tag team match. Therefore, has not lost a singles bout since before the pandemic. In today’s age of pro wrestling, such a run is unthinkable.

And, no matter what happens during both nights of WrestleMania 40, Reigns will continue to solidify his name in history. He closes both nights, with Reigns & The Rock vs Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins on Saturday and Reigns vs Rhodes on Sunday. That means Reigns will have 9 WrestleMania main events to his name, which surpasses Hulk Hogan’s 8. For Hogan, it took him about the first 10 WrestleManias to reach such a milestone. Reigns accomplished the feat in a similar timeframe, but he could have another five years in the main event.

Roman Reigns WWE Future After WrestleMania 40

WWE

Do not be surprised if Reigns topples his own record over the next decade. Hogan will be in the Philly area for WrestleMania, although we hope he does not get involved in any matches. At his age, with those brittle bones, taking a bump is over.

As for what happens after WrestleMania, reports state Reigns is expected to take a break. He should be back by SummerSlam or for the second Saudi Arabia show in the fall months. But, that does not mean he will lose his belts on Sunday. We could simply see Reigns take a hiatus as champion, noting there is nothing left to accomplish. Eventually, WWE would probably like to put Reigns vs The Rock together. So, is WWE making the right call by having Roman Reigns work both WrestleMania 40 main events to surpass the record set by Hulk Hogan?
