On Wednesday, a new WWE documentary was supposed to be released.

It was announced over the weekend that "WrestleMania 40: Behind the Curtain" would be premiering on WWE's YouTube channel on April 10. But the documentary was not uploaded as scheduled.

PWInsider reports that the reason for the delay is because, due to the sheer amount of footage shot over WrestleMania weekend, WWE is still assembling the documentary. It will be released as soon as it's completed.

"The word making the rounds is that due to the sheer amount of footage that the company shot over the course of the weekend, they are still assembling the film," PWInsider wrote. "We are told it will be released as soon as they have locked in the final cut."

The documentary is focused on WrestleMania 40 and the fan backlash that led to WWE changing its main event plans. After fans rejected the idea of The Rock challenging Roman Reigns, Rock turned heel and Rhodes was confirmed as Reigns' WrestleMania opponent.

The Rock & Reigns defeated Rhodes & Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 40 night one, but Rhodes then dethroned Reigns on night two to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

A Rhodes vs. Rock singles match is being built to take place down the line.
