The Giants have signed right-hander Tommy Romero to a minor league deal, according to his transactions tracker at MLB.com. The Beverly Hills Sports Council client has been assigned to Triple-A Sacramento but could perhaps receive an invite to big league Spring Training.
The SF Giants have signed right-handed pitcher Tommy Romero to a minor-league contract, per MLB.com's official transaction page. Romero had short big-league stints with the Tampa Bay Rays and Washington Nationals during the 2022 season but has otherwise been a career minor leaguer.
The Nationals have claimed right-hander Tommy Romero off waivers from the Rays, and assigned Romero to Triple-A. Both Romero and Kevin Herget were designated for assignment by Tampa Bay on Tuesday, and the Rays announced that Herget been outrighted to Triple-A after clearing waivers.
The Rays also optioned Tommy Romero to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move.
