On Sunday and Monday, there were only three games played by the Blue Jays’ affiliates. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Vancouver Canadians were rained out on Sunday, while no “A” affiliate teams were in action on Monday, but the Florida Complex League Jays were!
The bad news is that the Blue Jays organization lost all their games on Wednesday. With all four affiliates losing on Wednesday, plus the Toronto Blue Jays’ loss to the Kansas City Royals, this is what we refer to as an “organizational sweep”.
For the second night in a row, Blue Jays affiliates won all their games. However, the title of “organization sweep” could not be granted, as the Toronto Blue Jays squandered a fantastic chance to walk off the Seattle Mariners, and the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats were rained out, with the game postponed until Friday.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have our first organization sweep of the season! The big league club won their game on Tuesday evening, but so too did the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, High-A Vancouver Canadians, and the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays all won their games.
For the second consecutive day, the four Blue Jays “A” affiliates won two games and lost two games. The Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, High-A Vancouver Canadians, and the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays were in action, with the Bisons and Baby Jays picking up the dubs.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Buffalo Bisons have won a game. On Sunday afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders played their third and final game of the series, with the Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate winning 4-3.

If you want offence, you should’ve watched the Blue Jays on Saturday! Canada’s team took on the Philadelphia Phillies, defeating them 13-5 to bring their record to 6-8.
Well, thankfully that game wasn’t televised. On Tuesday afternoon, the Blue Jays faced off against the Pittsburgh Pirates, falling 6-5 to one of the league’s worst teams.
Without a finalized squad, the Toronto Blue Jays may have to do a bit of juggling with their 40-man roster – which is currently full – prior to heading north for Opening Day next month.
Spring Training has finally arrived. On Thursday, catchers and pitchers reported to Dunedin to start getting ready for the 2024 season. Of course, it’s an annual tradition for teams to invite prospects, or “non-roster” players.
