The Vancouver Canucks officially have one less thing to worry about this summer. On Wednesday night, the Seattle Kraken hosted their Expansion Draft, selecting one player from each of the 30 participating teams.
The Seattle Kraken select forward Kole Lind from the Vancouver Canucks at the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft. After acquiring center Jason Dickinson in a trade with the Dallas Stars on Saturday, the Canucks had no more protection slots leaving Kole Lind as one of the odd men out amongst the forwards.
The 22-year-old was drafted by the Canucks 33rd overall in 2017. The Seattle Kraken officially submitted their list of 30 players who will join the team in the expansion draft to the NHL at 7:00 am PST this morning.
