Former Colorado wide receiver Xavier Weaver has found an NFL home following the NFL Draft and even has a nice guaranteed payday to look forward to. Weaver was not selected in the NFL Draft this week.
According to Mike Klis, the Cardinals are signing UDFA WR Xavier Weaver out of Colorado. Weaver, 23, began his career at South Florida before transferring to Colorado and was named Second-team All-AAC in 2022.
Offseason shoulder surgery prevented Xavier Weaver from being ready to work out for NFL scouts during Colorado’s pro day on March 19. The Buffaloes’ receiver was ready on Wednesday, though, and he put on a show.
Xavier Weaver elected not to participate in any drills at the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday. However, he did meet with the media and answered an array of questions about his future in the league to his time with Coach Prime in Boulder.
